Happy Birthday Hubby | {Lifestyle Photography} | KrashingMotions Holiday Adventures

Just before my last post for my cousin's B-day, my husband celebrated his 41st!

Uhm can I say I just don't get how time has flown by in my 30's?  I thought my 20's went by fast but seriously it was nothing like my 30's!  My husband was 29 when I met him; I was 27.  It was a whirlwind romance from the start and ever since he kissed me, I knew I was lost in his spell.

I remember his 30th Birthday; it was fabulous and we partied like ROCKSTARS!  Since then things have changed somewhat (though we still like to think we can party like rock-stars... but really we can't).  This year we spent his 41st with just he, our daughter and I.  We walked down to Lasher's on Broadway; it's fine dining establishment but with the cosiness of private cabin in the mountains.

The place was decorated so beautifully for the holidays.  BTW our dinner reservations were at 5:pm (yes we could be considered for the early bird special if they had one).

We sat down to enjoy a couple of bottles of wine (yes I said we used to be able to party like rock-stars so couple of bottles is really no big deal when it comes to the good ole days).  Kruiz was absolutely adorable and on her best behavior.  She reads extremely well and this night was special so we let her order from the menu herself.

"I would like the Wild Alaskan King Salmon and a Lasher's salad please."

Ok  really?  Well at least she eats well and I have a feeling she won't be dating any deadbeats because they won't be able to afford her taste buds.

We finished our evening at Lasher's with a birthday dessert for Donovan & Kruiz, then strolled back home to relax.  

It definitely wasn't a rockstar night but I have to say....

the night was special, easy, fun and full of love & conversation.

It was perfect and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Happy Birthday Jana | {Fabulously 40 & Free!} | Boudoir Photography

December is busy month for my family and I; of course we get caught up in the holiday hype but what really keeps us busy is all the birthdays & holiday parties.

I have had such a great month~ Boudoir galore!  I luv it.  It's not something I promote often because when I'm shooting weddings and engagement shoots I become quite consumed and focused to edit, design, and complete orders... leading my promotions into other luvs... such as boudoir, a bit adrift.  

So this month I had more boudoir bookings than expected and it kills me to not post anything, because each of these are a gift of some form or other!  

So here is a teaser...

I really can't wait to show you this beautiful gal one day soon, but you shall have to wait until February!

Piano Recital | Long Beach Photographer | Happy Holidays

So, I'm busy with boudoir sessions (which I am loving), fulfilling orders and designing albums, and there isn't much to post because most are gifts to others.  Along with shooting boudoirs, I have had a busy lifestyle as a mommy to a talented kindergarten child!  Kruiz has had SO MANY firsts this year!  Learning how to ride a bike (I'll post soon- sorry), learning to read full books, having her first school production, and her first "gig" with daddy (plus now learning ballet & tap... another post)!  Kruiz has been learning the piano for that last few months and it really suits her; she is a natural.  The Belmont Shore Music Studio decided to have a recital at Peet's Coffee with all their, or most (especially young) students perform what they have learned thus far for the holidays!  Well there was one student a bit older than the rest, my hubby.  While Kruiz goes to piano lessons, he goes to guitar lessons and now they have learned their second song to play together!  In October they learned and jammed at home to the Monster Mash.  Now they have learned a Czech folk song called "Just Being Me".
So without further ado (BTW I know I say this a bit)...
Kruiz,  Jeremy (her treacher), Donovan (her daddy), and John (the owner of BSMC and D's teacher).

Sorry honey but I think Kruiz nailed this and hopefully next time you can keep up...

The gal in the bunch (other than Kruiz) is Jessica, her 1st piano teacher who really loves her.  Jessica had to pass Kruiz on to someone else because of scheduling, but she wouldn't give her up to just anyone.  She continued to teach Kruiz until someone very special was available to take over...her brother Jeremy!  They have a family full of musicality and extreme talent!

Thanks you two for taking to Kruiz and developing her talent and love for music!
