Jenny & Ed {1st Date Memories} | Gabbi's Mexican Kitchen | Orange Circle Photography

So here they are~ Jenny & Ed!
One of Jenny's gifts to she and her hubby for their 1 Year Anniversary was a photo shoot!  It took some time to actually get to this day, but it was well worth it!
Jenny & Ed were so adorable and so much fun to shoot!
We walked & climbed the streets and alleys of Orange Circle.  This place is hopping; there were 2 other photo sessions going on that I saw possibly more the day we shot!
The Circle has so much character and history!  I love the aged brick walls, the unique antique stores and of course the FABULOUS restaurants the line the streets!

Jenny & Ed had their very first date was at Gabbi's Mexican Kitchen here at the Circle.
It also was a great place after shooting nearly 2 hours for them to have a final shot of them, so they could reminisce and finish the night right...
on a date @ Gabbi's.
Jenny later thanked me for the experience and said they felt like they were on their first date again because of the excitement of the day!

Jenny's laugh was so adorable; Ed was so playful with her and it really made for some great moments!

And so I said we climbed.... actually Jenny & my 2nd shooter Jake climbed. I had Jake test it out first to see if it was safe.  Jenny weathered much better than Jake; he ended up ripping his jeans just under his butt when he jumped down... ooopps!

They have mastered the perfect photo kiss.  I normally coach couples how to kiss without smooshing their faces, making it tender.
Jenny & Ed needed zero guidance!

Just about done with our shoot and Ed notice the finger.  Jenny immediately opens up in a way I had not seen our whole shoot and became lil Miss Comedienne!
I think this is my fave moment of the the day!

One last kiss before their date starts @ Gabbi's!

Jenny & Ed {Anniversary Session} | City Spiced Up ~ Sneak Peak | Orange Circle Photography

Here is a sneak peak to a shoot I have been waiting for to shoot OVER a year~ SERIOUSLY!  I have Shot Jenny in the past for a portrait session.  She was a bit nervous our first shoot but little did I know how nervous she really is about having her photo taken.  She has rescheduled many times, I can't even count because I almost gave up though she had paid her deposit over a year ago.  Today she admitted that she is just truly nervous.  There is no reason to be, because Jenny you ARE gorgeous!!!!
So here is a sneak peak!  I had a blast shooting you two!

Nisha & Rinesh {Engaged} | Seal Beach Engagement Photographer | Wedding Photographer

I love hearing how my clients find me!  Sometimes, it can be straight off the internet, word of mouth, facebook and apparently through old friends I haven't seen since my college years!
I just shot Nisha & Rinesh just a few days ago without having ever met them before because Rinesh is the dentist of my friend Wendy.  Wendy is a friend I have not seen in about 16 years.  We went to high school together and lived briefly in the same house in Santa Barbara (awe good times).
Ok, great I got a referral but it wasn't just a referral...
Wendy must really like her dentist (BTW how many people actually 'LIKE' their dentist?) because she gave HER session to he and his fiancee.  How sweet is that?!

After 5 minutes of shooting this absolutely gorgeous couple it was apparent why Wendy is so fond of Rinesh... he is an absolute comedian!  He was goofing around most of our mini-session which created great moments and real laughs with his stunning bride to be Nisha!
Wow her eyes just draw you in!

You can see they love each other and even more so they just love each other's company!

#1 RULE TO ALL COUPLES~ make sure your future spouse can make you laugh and that you can you look them straight in the eye with a loving stare!

If so you may be just as lucky as Nisha & Rinesh!

I had a fabulous time shooting these two and I loved watching them interact with each other!
 Congrats to you & your upcoming nuptials... only a months + away!!!!  EXCITING!

Seth & Jace {father & son} | Long Beach Urban Photo Shoot | Lifestyle Photographer

Let's start the story with facebook, a network I joined over 4 years ago (maybe 5) with much apprehension.  I wasn't sure I wanted people to find me that I may not want finding me.  Then about 3 years ago when KrashingMotions Photography became official I realized the benefit of the network and the exposure it could give me.  During the process of networking and building my business, I got something so much more~ reconnections with old friends whom I didn't realize I really missed!
Facebook has been such a great tool for me to rebuild relationships with people I hadn't seen in 20 years, people whom I had known for half of my life!

About a week ago, a dear old friend FB'd me asking if I could possibly shoot he and his son during a trip our here in Cali.
I FB'd back and said yes.  This Monday I get a call and it's my friend Seth from high-school!  We have not seen nor spoken in 20 years!
We scheduled for Wednesday....
I arrive downtown and am greeted  by my friend and his adorable son.  Seing for the first time in 20 years only felt like 5 and our friendship recommenced as if we had not missed a beat.

I really love reconnecting with my old friends and seeing how their lives played out and how they all have fabulous families, experiences, travels, and special moments to share.  As we play catch up on our past, it's apparent the bonds we had as teenagers still remain.  Seth was a good friend to me, especially during the awkward stage of puberty and Seth took on the roll of big brother to me.

Jace & Seth were so great to hang with.  Jace is such a mini-Seth but with a more metro style developed at a very young age compared to Seth who didn't find his inner-metro until he graduated I think!

Jace is five, so I we had something in common (Kruiz is 5).  I think I may have married my daughter off BTW ( I have now 2 boys on my list of future boys she can date when she is 18).

Jace was so inquisitive and honestly the best little boy to shoot, because he was patient with me and up to anything I asked!  If every kid was like this, I would probably be shooting more families then I do.
It was quite refreshing to shoot a father/son combo.

Can you tell, I can't get enough of Jace?  He just won me over, especially with those big blue eyes!

Seth you have done well, I'm so proud!
Now let's not wait another 20 years before we see each other again!

Jeramiah Red Live | House of Blues {Anaheim} | Rockstar Photography

Last week at the House of Blues {Anaheim}, my brothers band Jeramiah Red performed and it was sensational!  It was so fabulous that shortly after the show they were asked to open for Shooter Jennings Novemebr 5th!!!!

I truly love their style, their music!  I love shooting them!  The energy in the room is always amazing because these guys really get the crowd excited & pumped with their sound, their lyrics!
I love to experience them in such a venue as the House of Blues especially because the lighting and sound is amazing!

If you haven't heard them yet- DO!

You can be a fan & join on their facebook page & mySpace - they have a few tracks there for you to hear- but really nothing compares to LIVE!!!!

Lindsey & Chris {Engaged} | The Grand Tradition | Fallbrook Wedding Photographer

Last week, I took a drive south to Fallbrook to meet my couple Lindsey & Chris for their engagement session.
 Originally they were thinking of having their wedding at Tivoli Too in Laguna Beach. I received an email a month later after our 1st meeting that they had decided on another venue, the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook. Lindsey asked if I would be willing to travel there for their wedding & eSession, of course! Honestly, I will travel ANYWHERE because why not... who doesn't love a new experience; a new adventure!?

I had bever heard of the Grand Tradition, so I looked it up online and was already impressed with the vast green field of grass, the flowing waterfalls, lush tropical plants, and a lake. These are all the makings to some great photo ops!  Good call you two!

I leave at 8:am (and if you know me I am not a morning person) yet this morning I was calm and looking forward to a fabulous shoot. It took about an hour and 45 minutes but it felt like 30 minutes; I think I was in a meditating state the whole drive. Awwweeee....

We were pretty lucky that Sunday morning because with this crazy weather going from 109 to thunderous storms, I wasn't sure what we could expect.  The morning was slightly dewy and overcast.  For many people, you may think yuk but for photographers we think SWEET!  A perfect blanket from harsh casting shadows means endless shooting time, which was fabulous since my lovely couple ran into a snafu and ended up being about 45 minutes later than expected.  No worries!

In between shots, I see Chris stroking Lindsey's hair.  I could see the anxiety in her eyes as he did it; she's thinking what every woman who just got her make-up and hair done (hum leave it alone).  I giggled, and he admitted he couldn't help it; he loves touching her hair.

The moments between these two were quite precious; they are so in love, so tender with each other.

I love when couples exude true love, true tenderness towards each other.

I can't wait until your wedding in March; you are a lovely couple and it's going to be quite special for everyone involved!
~~~~~
I saw this avocado & fruit stand on the side of the road on my way to Fallbrook.  We headed here after our shoot at the Grand Tradition.  Unfortunately the lady would not let me shoot her fabulous array of fruits or my couple gathering their collection.  I've never had someone say "no" but then I thought maybe she doesn't have a license to sell and didn't want Big Brother to shut down her means of moola.
But just next to the stand was this quaint rustic gazebo~ too cute!  I thought it was great time to break out my barely used lensbaby.
Lindsey_Chrisedits13.jpg
I felt bad, I had Chris jump probably 10 times.
"Higher, higher, higher... come on you can do it!"
Lindsey jumped twice but nearly broke her ankle... ok no more for her (I don't want a bride in a cast the day of her wedding).
Lindsey_Chrisedits13.jpg
See!  Aren't they so cute; they just snuggle so well!
Lindsey_Chrisedits13.jpg
Lindsey_Chrisedits13.jpg
Ok, so this shot above was a true test to focus and commitment and it wasn't from me.  The day was grey with a severe glare when I had them look up.  Lindsey tried and tried and she just couldn't open her eyes which made for a comical moment.  Luckily Chris was able to tolerate and boy was it worth it because look at the light in his eyes- beautiful!
Gabby & Raul {Engaged} | Petersen Automotive Museum | Los Angeles Wedding Photographer
If you follow my blog, you know I had some computer issues recently.  Who knew 4 days without a computer and I would still be playing catch up?
But I see the light and I'm just about there.
I have just one more couple from the Charity Shoot Out to finish in between my current clients as well.
So here is couple number 4 than just one more from that day and I shall be focusing on all my October couples!
Gabby & Raul were my 4th couple for the day and I only got 5 minutes with them.  In those 5 minutes I was able to get some beautiful looks from them; what a gorgeous couple!  Gabby your eyes are stunning!
Congrats you two!  I hope you were able to pull everything together for your wedding in time!
October = Fall? | Long Beach Photographer
Summer went by so fast it never got too hot with the exception of maybe one week.  So I had a feeling we would be living yet another indian summer and it happened.
Despite the summer  being quick, I am really ready for some fall weather or at least comfortable weather.  I want to put on some jeans and a t-shirt and not have to shave my legs EVERY single day because I'm hot.  (TMI- I know).
October is one of my most favorite months!  I love getting prepared for the holidays, the colors of  the leaves, trick-or-treating with my daughter, and being someone else for one night!
I hope soon the fall weather will come and we can enjoy the crimson colors of the leaves and sunsets.
Happy October everyone!
