Belmont Shore pregnancy Session ~ Pregnancy=Beauty=I truly believe!!!!

As a photographer I am here to capture your memories, your life. One moment in life that I love as a top 3 is pregnancy! I truly believe that one of our most beautiful moments as women is when we are pregnant!
When I was pregnant with my daughter (here I am making it about me...again-oh well), I felt my best, my most beautiful! I no longer can have children so maybe this is why I love capturing these moments (possibly), but I truly believe that all women are so beautiful when they are pregnant! Here is a perfect example, my childhood friend Heather! She believes her skin and hair are better when she is pregnant (I and my sisters and friends agree too)!
 I looked at her and thought OMG- you are more than just a glowing soul- you are an ANGEL!
 She is such a sweet girl plus wonderful mom & wife; I can only imagine what a great friend she is to those who know her on a regular basis!
Thank you Heather for letting me be apart of your special moment in life- you are a doll!!!!

Of course I love what I do...who wouldn't? Photography is such a great career! I get to meet meet fabulous people and be in their moment! I also have realized that (thanks to facebook) I get to reconnect and shoot amazing friends whom I haven't seen in 10-20 years! I love reconnecting and meeting their families! It is so nice to see people who I grew up with become such great people and to be blessed to have such great families as well! This past Monday I shot a friend of mine whom I've known since elementary school, Tammy. I was thrilled they booked me; they came all the way from Texas! I had another great friend Jill travel from Idaho a couple of months ago. Lucky for me my old friends still have family out here! Tammy looks just as adorable as she did in HS! Her family is so beautiful! She and her husband Paul have two gorgeous little girls Skylar and Abby (Kruiz is so jealous...she keeps writing her name as "Abby" and not Kruiz... another story to tell another time)! Both of the girls were such troopers! The funny thing is when I shoot my friends whether it be recent or past I always tend to shoot well over 2 hours when my normal session usually run 1 to 1.5 hours! It's all the talking I guess. Needless to say their kids were on their best behaviors and I just fell in love with them! I always fall for lil ones- I can't help it! Thanks for visiting- I wish we could have had more time to just chat.... next time!

Our Stay-cation!!!! | San Diego Photography

So it's back to work. My husband, daughter and I have been on a

"stay"cation for the last 2 weeks. Due to the recession, we figured a big trip

was out of the question; honestly we haven't had a BIG trip since 2002! At

least my husband was able to take a full 2 weeks off for once!

During the last 2 weeks we've gone to Santa Barbara for a weekend to

celebrate out 7 year anniversary, celebrated Father's Day in Brea, BBQ'd at

friends, baked in the sun at the beach, gone boating a couple of times, had a day trip to San Diego's Wild Animal Park, and celebrated 4th of July at the

beach with a great group of friends & family at the beach & on the boat!

During our time off, my husband learned how to wakeboard (not bad for a

guy about to turn 40)!

During our trip to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego, our daughter was able to see, giraffes and lions for the first time!

Despite the 95 degree heat at the Wild Animal Park, it was one of my

favorite moments during our time off. I absolutely loved watching Kruiz feed the deer; I think that was her favorite moment as well!

**(Oh BTW- if you live in SoCal, you can pay just $12 more per person to get an annual membership, which allows you to go to both San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park unlimited, with many discounts as well! We actually saved money buying the membership due to the add on costs of parking, safari tours, etc w/out a membership.)

What a fabulous time we've had! It's a bit hard to get back into the swing of things after having our priorities being the beach, boating, and BBQ's.

Needless to say, out "stay"cation was surprisingly exhausting &

surprisingly amazing!

Becca & Kyle- eSession | santa Clarita Engagement Photographer

Becca & Kyle are another couple from the Jen O'Sullivan workshop I

attended; they were my final and 4th couple. I had such a great time shooting all 4 couples; a what a fun way to shoot- an engagement

relay/marathon session! I might have to create something like that where couples can save some money by sharing their engagement session with a few more couples...hhhmmm.... an idea!

Given they were my final couple I wanted to break free a little from the

usual romantic shots. They were game for it as well since they had just shot with 3 other photographers and had done all the lovey-dovey shots.

So had them get dirty, jump around, climb, lift... you name it! We all had a blast! Thanks guys and CONGRATS!

Mas SB and for once..pics of me...

Just felt like posting some more shots of our Sunstone trip... I love those trips down memory lane!

These were just for fun- letting the vino get to our heads a little...

If you are a regular on my flickr or blog you will notice there are very FEW pics of myself! I have a hard time being shot..something to do with age I guess- I used to love to have my pic taken but not anymore! Anyhow, I have been wanting a new profile shot so I asked my hubby to use one of my cameras and shoot a headshot for me. It's a bit off on the focus but this was my fave one that he shot of me. I think it represents me quite well- a glass of wine in one hand and a camera in the other...thanks Honey! The pic below is my self-portrait. That's as far as my arm could reach and I used a 50mm- I actually like the crop.
